Akari is a kind-hearted man, independent, caring and friendly. He is characterized by his easy-going, his sense of humor, and his optimism. Despite his kindness, Akari is somewhat short-tempered and thus has trouble controlling his anger, such as when someone mocks other people.

Akari has dark grayish-blue eyes with short black hair cut and a mole under his left eye. He is repeatedly described as a fragile-looking, handsome man with a beautiful face. Akari was average in athletics which is why he has a tall, muscular, lean, and very fit body.

Akari is a Tokyo-based photographer who has been associated with Time Out Tokyo Magazine. He loved photography since he was thirteen and began taking pictures with an analog camera, which he got from his father.

A long time before that, before his life as a photographer, there was an incident while Akari was in a high school. He was struck by lightning while he was jogging which put him in a coma for a month.

This incident surprisingly turns him into a metahuman with superhuman speed abilities (Speedster). However, Akari is rarely seen using her speed for trivial matters. He uses it more often when someone needs help or during an urgent situation.
